BMA Nomique’s origins date from 1988 with a partnership that conceived the Bio Mechanical Advisory in response to the Ergonomic needs of VDU operators, consequently this led to the creation of the patented AXIA seating program for ergonomic seating, over 90,000 chairs are produced each year from the 100,000 sq ft factory in Zwolle, Netherlands.

The presence in the UK market has recently been expanded significantly by the amalgamation of BMA Ergonomics and Nomique to create a single entity.

The new company, BMA Nomique was created in response to the UK market need for a combination of high quality, design led and locally produced product that gives outstanding service and reliability.

BMA Nomique operates from its manufacturing facility of 25,000 sq ft in Telford, Shropshire and continues to hold high its values on environmental control demonstrating a Cradle to Cradle philosophy along with a strong ethical policy to our employees, suppliers and customers. BMA Nomique has been recommended for certification on ISO 14001.

BMA Nomique’s facets are:

• The design and manufacture of contemporary soft seating, breakout and Task Seating.
• The Manufacture of BMA ergonomic seating products.

Sustainability and the environment

At BMA Nomique, we recognise that through working with our customers and suppliers, our activities, products and services do have an impact on the environment. We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our operations and sustaining these reductions.

Elements such as managing our waste recycling, our minimum and reusable packaging policy, use of CFC free foam, economical transport and selected fabrics are just some of the guiding principles we already have in place. We have also introduced a product refurbishment programme that can extend the product life cycle by up to 40%.
